Important Announcements

The dojo will be closed during the Holiday Season from Tuesday, December the 23rd through January the 4th. Classes resume Monday, January the 5th.

The dojo Holiday Party is Saturday, December 20th from 10 a.m. until noon. We’ll probably start eating around 11 a.m. Get to the dojo early and get to know students from other arts and make some new friends. Please bring a dish to pass – those who fail to bring food will suffer the wrath of Beier Sensei and severe disappointment from the rest of us!!

Winter has come to our area and with it cold weather, snow, ice and blustering winds. It’s very easy to say to yourself “Its cold out. I’ll go train tomorrow.” The problem is that one tomorrow turns into another and then another and soon you’ve missed several classes and then you’re too aware that you haven’t been to the dojo for a while and embarrassment sets in and you stay away. Don’t let that happen to you. Stick with your training. I know how hard it is to come to the dojo. There have been many times in the last eight years I wanted to stay home because I was too sore or it was too cold out but the reward is that your journey has been made just a bit more meaningful. Besides you always feel better once you come through the door.

Remember that old saying: “When the going gets tough, the tough turn pro.”

I might have that one wrong. Hmmm……

Have a great Holiday and see you at the Holiday Party.
